How to get rid of error popup

Ever since updating to the latest version (in the process of which I lost many of my contacts - had to re-enter them) I get the following error message:

[Google Contacts]Uploading item(s) to folder ‘[email protected]/Contacts’ failed due to the following error: Can not remove all contact group memberships. Contact must always be in at least one contact group.

How do I get rid of this popup?

There is a reply at the bottom of a similar recent emc thread where they fixed this issue in Google Contacts by eg: “deleting the distribution list” and then recreated it" via presumably the Google Website. Might help for your issue.

Contact syncing problem - eM Client

If you open your web browser and go to your Google Contacts website, scroll down to Other Contacts. Your missing contacts may be there. You need to move them back to the main Contacts folder. Then restart eM Client.

Go to Menu > Accounts and remove the Gmail account, then add it back again.
