How to disable -- substitution

Hello,

I’m composing an email, and I need to type exactly -- in the email.

But eM Client always replace -- to

How can I disable this feature as I don’t need it.

Thanks.

It seems this forum does the similar substitution too.
Let me change the wording
I need two - - hyphen-minus - ASCII Code but eM Client replace it into — - em dash - ASCII Code

Try paste it in either Notepad (Windows) or Textmate (Mac) first and then paste that in eM Client and see if that works as a test like as in the below example using V10.3.2412

That only work when there is nothing after --.

--a for example, is not working.

I manually do gpg sign in terminal, then copy the result of clearsign into eM Client.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA256

test in 20250628
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----

xxxxxxx
=tNEV
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

Become

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE——
Hash: SHA256

test in 20250628
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE——

xxxxxxx
=tNEV
-----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

And the substitution will break the signature.
