How to darken text of email account names in "Mail" column

I have just purchased a new laptop, upgrading from Win 10 to Win 11, as well as upgrading from emclient 9 to 10.

While setting up, I noticed that my preferred theme of “System” is no longer present.
I selected “Light” theme, and am mostly pleased. “Light” provides an overall whiter appearance to the background, which is helpful for my ageing eyes.

My biggest problem now is the font color of the text, of the email accounts, in the mail list/column. In “system” font color used was darker/blacker than the folder text below it, like it is a bold font,

Now with “light” theme the email account names, are a washed out gray, much lighter than the folder text below it. My eyes are not pleased.

I have searched through settings without locating a solution.

I googled how to edit this font and the first return was:
“To make email inbox text darker in eM Client 10, go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Appearance > Themes, then select your current theme and adjust the “Text Color” setting to a darker shade within the theme customization options.”

I think this is AI search gone wrong. I don’t see any option in themes to edit this font color.

The rest of the results were not relevant.

What am I missing? How do I edit the email account font to make it darker and more readable?

Thank you, Z

Looks like no one has responded to you on this. I’m looking for the same solution. Guess I am just to used to Thunderbird and want to replicate it.

I was able to make the necessary changes via the theme editor. That said, the theme editor is the most non-intuitive bit of software I have ever used, and I have a tech background. There is no user guide available for the theme editor.

Support was able walk me through the editing process, but saving and importing the new theme was an utter nightmare. Everything I was told to do failed over and over again.

My last support agent didn’t believe their posted steps didn’t work. I loaded the software that allows support to control my PC. Everything he did also failed.

I finally took control back and was able to successfully import the new theme. The arrogant support guy acted like he figured it out.

That said, I was unable to duplicate that success on my other PC.

They need to allow simple changes to the UI via simple menu options, not the ridiculous theme editor.

My advice: Don’t waste your time and energy with the theme editor. It’s a complete mess.

Sorry

There is an online eM Client blog page ok designing / modifying your eM Client Theme.

https://www.emclient.com/blog/design-your-own-em-client-421

Also see the following eM Client Support page on how to create or adjust my own eM Client theme

https://support.emclient.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/149/6/how-to-create-or-adjust-my-own-em-client-theme

There is also user created Themes you might like to try where you can import those at the bottom of the current Themes in Settings.

https://www.emclient.com/themes

I specifically asked support for a guide and was told it did not exist.

They helped me with editing the theme editor, but following their instructions to save, then import the new theme failed 100% of the time. It would just return to the default theme.

OK, thanks. Certainly not worth all that trouble.
