How to collapse or hide Folders panel (iPadOS/landscape)

On iPadOS, in landscape orientation, the lefthand panel (about 25% of the screen) is used by the Folders panel.
I would very much like to hide that so the space can be used more productively for me. Looked very hard through Settings but can’t find a way.
I notice that in portrait orientation, the view appears with no Folders panel, but it can be swiped out from the left edge if wanted. Something similar in landscape would be great.

On MacOS, of course all panels can be sized to suit.

many thanks,
Mark

Yes I’m not aware of any hide left panel option on the mobile tablet app in Landscape view in iOS Settings. Probably be a Sleekplan suggestion.

Thanks for confirming I hadn’t missed something.

Have added to the FeatureRequest topic (don’t want to sign up for an account with yet another service, Sleekplan).

I since discovered you can actually hide the folders panel in Landscape view by pressing the (pin) button on the right of the Settings cog.

Ps Sorry I never tried that button before.

Weird! My display looks nothing remotely like yours. My Settings cog is in the very bottom left corner. My +New floats middle-bottom.

But I also found a work-around:
Release the Rotation lock
Start the app in Portrait mode (no Folders pane)
Rotate to Landscape mode and… still no Folders pane!

Have to do that evey time one starts the app, but just about livable-with.

Sorry for the slow reply - I obviously didn’t do the right thing to get notified when soemone replied to my thread…

Thats strange its differant. The pin button appears in Landscape view automatically at the top right of the mail folders using eM Client iOS “Testflight” iPad Beta V10.3.2242 and iOS 18.6.2 on both my M1 iPads. So you might be possibly using the non Testflight version.

If you already have that Testflight Beta version and are not getting the pin at the top of folders like in my screenshot, then i would try uninstalling and reinstalling the Testflight Beta again and resetup as new again. Failing that email [email protected] for assistance with the Beta

That explains it. No, I’m not on Testflight, just running the 10.2.1754 current release.
Delighted to hear the feature I want is in the testing pipeline and likely to be released soon.
The workaround of starting in Portrait and then rotating is good enough to tide me over.
Thanks again for your help - successful outcome.
