Where are Calendar and Contacts data stored so that I can back them up?

You may want to activate automatic backups then. Go to Menu>Tools>Settings>General and select Backup. Tick the _ Enable periodic backup _ box. Then you can select the _ Frequency _. Also, you can change the _ Target directory _, if you don’t like the path eM Client shows. Mine goes to C:\Users"My name"\Documents\eM Client, for example.
Backups are off by default, a decision I would like to see the developers of eM Client reverse, as most users do not know this until there is a problem. You will definitely want this on if you ever need to “recover/restore” your data onto another hard drive or a new computer.

Don’t underestimate the value of a backup, especially if you have local data that is not synced with an online account!!!
You can also do the backup manually through Menu > File > Backup. The backup will take a complete snapshot of eM Client, so everything is backed up.
If you want to do them separately, you can use Menu > File > Export, then select either contacts or events.
