Tools > Accounts > select your account > select ‘POP3’ tab page > uncheck ‘leave a copy of messages on the server’

Hi again Gordon, just as Hans suggested above, go to Tools > Accounts > Your accounts, and change the server settings for your pop account, if you want messages to be deleted automatically.
If you don’t want messages to be deleted automatically from the server, I’m afraid that by using POP3 protocol, you’ll have to login each time to your webmail in order to delete a certain message.

What if I am using IMAP?

IMAP means the messages are stored on the server, and all the client does is give you a cached copy of that - just like using webmail. If you remove them from the server, they are deleted forever.

can eM Client remove from server like outlook.  I don’t want to go into server to delete unwanted emails.  thanks

Yes, but you need to setup your account as POP3, not IMAP.

To do that, go to Menu > Tools > Accounts and remove the IMAP account from eM Client. Then create a new account, but instead of choosing the Automatic Setup, choose Mail > Other.

After entering your email address, you will be able to choose between POP3 and IMAP.

Because this is a manual setup, you will need to get your server details from the email provider.

Once the account is setup, click on the POP3 tab for your account and UNTICK Leave a copy of messages on the server.
