Is there any means where I can control how long after I select a message before it shows as read? I want them to change as soon as I select them, not some indeterminate point in the future.
Go to Tools --> Settings --> Mail --> Read
Specify the number of seconds in ‘mark messages read after displaying for … seconds’.
