How do I put the emails into alphabetical order for searching 'from' or 'to'?

Like you can sort in many applications which contain a grid/table: you click with your left mouse button on the header of the column on which you would like to sort.

So if you would like to sort on the ‘from’ field, you should click on the ‘from’ header.

Hi Anne,
exactly as Hans suggested, just change the sorting by clicking on "Sorted by … " and select “From”.
