How do I make "[Gmail]" folder the root folder of an account? How do I properly hook up Gmail folders with the eMC folders in the account?

When creating a new account for Gmail, eMC creates a whole set of email folders like “Sent” or “Drafts”, with “[Gmail]” being one of the folders. This way, my actual Gmail folders are subfolders of “[Gmail]”, which is both confusing and impractical. How come Windows Mail is able to hook up IMAP folders properly with the local folders, and eMC is not?

For now I know only one “solution”. To use POP for mail and then you can use Local Folders (requires manual setting - not Gmail autoconfig). I hope IMAP will be fixed in new version.
