How do I import local folders from windows 8.1 mail?

moving to client cos windows email is terrible. I have a bunch of offlinde folders i want to import. can you help me

Hello mart,
I could not find any easy way of exporting messages from the windows mail app 8.1.
But according to some tutorials (ex. http://mywindowshub.com/backup-mail-app-email-messages-windows-8-windows-8-1/) the app stores your messages as EML files.
If you follow the tutorial and find those eml files you can just select them and drag them to eM Client (or copy them).

Thanks Olivia. Problem is I can only access the original emails. I would like to import the folders that exist which are already organised . Regards Martin

Hello Mart,
unfortunately we do not support import from windows 8 mail directly.
If the app itself does not provide an export from the EML files in the correct folder structure, I cannot provide you with a solution.
