When I start to type in someone’s email address it pulls up a list of people that start with that same letter that were emailed over a year ago. How do I delete these addresses? I do not have the red x there to remove them.
Go to Menu > Tools > Settings > Mail > Compose > Recipients History. There you can clear the complete history, or by showing the recipients, you can delete selected addresses.
I did that and they are still there. When I type an “a” in the “To” field everyone that I have ever emailed comes up as a suggestion. Any other thoughts?
Are those addresses in your Contacts?
no they are just people or companies that I have emailed once a long time ago
Is this with a GMail account?
yes it is
Maybe Jay Ogram can comment on this, as he knows something about this issue. Apparently the recipient history from GMail is presented as contacts in eM Client. I can’t comment further as I don’t use eM Client with GMail. Sorry.
