How do I attach a screenshot to an email?

email support

Hi David,

In the compose window go to the formatting bar
and either attach or insert your saved screenshot.

Thanks for your suggestion however both Attach and Insert will only allow you to attach/insert a file. My screenshot is held on the clipboard and not saved as a file

I can see one way round it, that is to capture your entire screen _and _automatically save the screenshot, tap the  Windows key + Print Screen key. Your screen will briefly go dim to indicate that you’ve just taken a screenshot, and the screenshot will be saved to the Pictures > Screenshots folder.

Another way is to paste it from the clipboard in to our mail ., but you can’t attach that way.
But it shows you -a little more explanation in your first post
would 've made it clear what method or utility you’re using.

If you use the basic - that’s what you get - Basic
There are numerous  free small screenshot utilities with more features.
such as attach to email …size the screenshot etc

Why not use the Snipping Tool or whatever is on your OS?
Even though it’s just above basic, it gives you more than just PrintScreen.
