Hello,
i would like to set up an email forwarding of a certain received email type (from a certain sender) to a mail2sms service. Unfortunately this does not work on the server side, because the server does not know the recipient’s email address. How can I register the recipient mail address server-side with eM-Client? The problem is that the mail2sms service doesn’t give any feedback about the received registration mail and therefore I can’t send a confirmation number (as it is required e.g. by Gmail).

Yes, that service can be setup and provided though I am not completely clear of your intent.
To confirm:
1,/ You want to forward specific incoming emails as SMS messages directly from your mail server
2./ Do you want to send to an individual or as multi broadcast?
3./ How many separate incoming email addresses?
4./ Number of emails/hour/day/week/month
5./ How long do want this to run for?

Hello skybat,
Thank you for your message.
Here are my answers:
1./ Yes, that is correct. I want to receive a specific kind of email as SMS on my smartphone
2./ I want to forward this mail only to my own SMS address (my mobile number)
3./ It is only from 1 incoming email address
4./ Between 1 and 10 (sometimes more) incoming emails
5./ steadily or at least for a longer time.
Greetings
Fred

OK…
4./ You say between 1 & 10, what frequency, per day/week etc.?
5./ What do you consider a longer time?
You do realise that this is NOT a free service (not me, I used it, I sold my company & took early retirement, I had it set to broadcast, they still use it, that is how I know it is available)

This is the way Google accounts work if you use a server Rule. You need to setup the forwarding address and confirm it through the webmail interface before you setup the server Rule. Server Rules run whether eM Client is running or not.
If you use a local Rule instead, you don’t need to do the confirmation. Local Rules only execute when eM Client is running.
There is no cost to the eM Client user. Rules are included in all license types, and email providers do not charge extra for server executed Rules/filters.

The issue of cost I agree does not relate to “Rules”, it is in respect of the conversion of email to SMS on the mail server and forward transmission to individual/multiple Mobile Numbers without eMC intervention.
Perhaps I was not clear.

I have spoken with IT at my old company to confirm the earlier information I posted for you, it is basically correct, however, apparently they have introduced a Free service that may be of interest to you particularly if you do not have your own mail server; it also caters for low volume users perhaps the same as you based on the figures you gave previously.
Here is a link for you to decide:
