How can I manually set up an account when automated process fails?

Is there a way to manually set up an account? my email provider uses a different id than my full email, so I need to be able to enter that somewhere. For example if the email is [email protected], the actual email user id is home.mvod.

I figured it out. I had to first set up a gmail account which the client COULD successfully create. Then, I modified everything in that account to the myveryowndomain account, changing servers, ports, protocols, credentials etc. Looks to be working fine. I’d recommend, opening up an empty account setup screen if the automated process doesn’t work, for cases like this. thanks.

I know it is a delayed reply but better late than never:
Open the menu Tools - Accounts and click “New account” - Mail - Other and click Next. New window will appear where you can set an account manually.
