unable to configure live.in email from microsoft to eM Client it gives the below message " [AirSync] An attempt to connect to santosh.gaikwad@live.in failed This could be temporary server unavailability or incorrect settings. do you want to check settings?"

Unfortunately Microsoft is phasing out the support of AirSync, the only way to set up your Hotmail account now is via IMAP until Microsoft transitions to Exchange.

Go to Accounts, create a new account. Instead of using the automatic setup, click on Mail and select Other. You’ll then be prompted to enter your credentials and incoming and outgoing mail servers.
Enter “imap-mail.outlook.com” and in the incoming mail server settings and “smtp-mail.outlook.com” and in the outgoing server settings.

After you’ve done that, go to IMAP tab in your account page, set your port to 993 and security policy to “Use SSL/TLS on special port (legacy)”, then navigate to the SMTP tab, set your port to 587 and security policy to “Force usage of SSL/TLS”.

Thanks, Dave. I’d add that when it keeps locking up at the test phase, if you ‘ignore’ you can go back in afterward and make the necessary changes to the port and the credentials.
