Hide BCC & CC field

Hello everyone,

I need the BCC field to save my sent emails on my NAS, via MailPlus Server.
And unfortunately, i cannot hide the BCC and CC fields when composing mails.
Or is it possible?
That doesn’t look so nice and then there’s an empty CC field, even more so.
As if that were a mistake.

Greetings,

Angel

I cannot hide the BCC and CC fields when composing mails.

Sounds like the CC & BCC fields are enabled in the compose window in settings.

Just disable the “Show CC and BCC fields when composing”.

“Menu / Settings / Mail / Compose” (PC).

Or

eM Client / Preferences / Mail / Compose" (Mac).

@cyberzork
Thanks for your answer.
I set it that way too.

Doesn’t anyone know what else to do?
Is this a bug ?

No, it is not a bug. It is because you have added a BCC address to the account in Menu > Accounts > Copies. So when you start a new message the BCC field will be displayed because it has some data in the field.

@Gary
Can you please make this so that you can hide these fields.
That both fields always appeared, even if you only filled in one,
was requested several times years ago.

Unfortunately because you are using them, you can’t hide them.

But if you remove the BCC option from your account, then they won’t show in new messages because there is nothing pre-filled in those fields.

@Gary

I know that.
Only I have to use this BCC field.
The only, easy way to archive my sent emails.
I got away with backups from an email program or archive software.
Everything now goes through my NAS server.

I just want to say that this looks pretty unprofessional,
if I have filled out the BCC field and the CC then also appears,
then just empty.
It looks like it’s a mistake, but it’s not.
