This could be an issue related to an update (I am on the latest 10.3.1864) or perhaps location of sound files, but sounds are no longer playing as they should during incoming mail or an incoming rule.
The sound files are fine. They once worked. They are small in either .mp3 or .wav format.
The placement of those files could be an issue. At first, I placed them in the EMCLIENT CONTENTS → SOUND folder but that is hard to navigate in Finder when setting up rules.
I instead put the sound files in my MUSIC folder and pointed EM CLIENT rules and outgoing sounds there.
Here’s another interesting thing: I have 3 Macs with 3 licensed versions of eM Client. The sound files work fine on one of the Macs but not the other two. The location of the sound files is in my MUSIC folder and the rules are identical.
Could there be any reason why I am having issues on at least two of my devices where incoming mail (notifications) and rules is not playing the designated audio files?
