That is quite interesting since we have kept checking on the functionality internally as well and the desktop Grammarly started working again circa around April 2024 (so we assumed the ban must have been lifted around that time, but we had no official reply).
I have been using Grammarly for Windows with eM Client on and off myself since, though I have noticed it is a bit delayed/takes a bit to load lately too.
Hope the Grammarly team decides to reach out if we can improve anything from our side, but we already follow all the guidelines available on their website.
Just got a reply from Grammarly re not working in eM Client
My name is Jackie, Iâm with the Technical Support team, and Iâm happy to answer this for you.
Unfortunately, Grammarly doesnât currently support integration with eM Client, but thank you for letting us know that this is something youâd like to see!"
If you Google this issue, there is also âmany other mail apps that have also stopped working with Grammarlyâ since Grammarly made changes around early 2024 and have either never worked again or hardly ever work at all. There doesnât seem to be any updates from Grammarly on any new developer integration since then either.
So id suggest to get back to that technical support person at Grammarly and ask if they can give you the reason why it doesnât work with eM Client and paste it in this thread.
The Grammarly level 1 tech person pushed the issue further up the food chain there at Grammarly.
I had been using LanguageTool for the past 8 months in all my apps including Thunderbird and found it just as good and actually less intrusive than Grammarly.
Grammarly has supposedly resolved an issue with the software and the next version should work in eM Cliient.
Thank you for your patience while we were looking into this.
Our engineering team took a moment to review Grammarlyâs integration with eM Client.
They identified an issue preventing Grammarly from properly displaying in eM Client and issued a fix, which should be available in the next version of Grammarly for Windows (v. 1.2.227.1811 ).
This version will gradually be released to the public from next Monday onwards.
Grammarly for Windows usually updates automatically in the background without user interaction. I suggest checking throughout the week whether Grammarly starts appearing in eM Client. Alternatively, from Tuesday onward, you can try manually updating Grammarly for Windows by reinstalling it.
You can see which version of Grammarly is installed from the applicationâs Settings panel, as shown below:
Iâd also like to correct my previous statement about our lack of communication with the eM Client team. Our engineers let me know they worked on the eM Client integration in early 2024.
