I have a message popup from google stating
“Password required for [email protected]
Then states
This operation may take quite a while to complete”.
While this message is showing I cannot use emclient.
If you are getting a Google password required popup message and closing and reopening eM Client still has the same problem, then could be either some has happened at your Google mailbox end, or you have some incorrect or outdated eM Client account settings.
So first “check that you can login ok to your Gmail account online” to make sure that is working. If you can’t login online via a browser, then you might need to reset your password online or contact Google support.
However “if you can login to Gmail ok online” but keep getting the password box appear in eM Client, then suggest if you use Gmail as a normal IMAP account, "remove and re-add your Gmail account " via the “automatic email wizard setup” in “Menu / Accounts”. That will ask you at the end of the wizard to re-allow eM Client access to your Google / Gmail account via a browser prompt which will then normally fix that issue. If you don’t see the browser allow button, toggle or tab around your windows.
Note:- If you have previously setup your Gmail IMAP or Gmail POP account manually, then that would be why you are getting the password prompt appear, as you need to now be using the modern Gmail IMAP OAuth setup via a token instead of manually typing the password in. So the wizard will fix that.

I am in touch with google support but it will take 3 days from now to get an answer.
I need to change my phone number which they have recorded as this phone is a landline which does mot take messages.
When I enter an alternative mobile number it is not accepted. I have tried various versions of the number but no joy.
So I will have to wait.
