I’ve been experiencing issues with syncing my contacts across six accounts. Initially, everything was working fine, but this month I started receiving error messages regarding the sync. I checked the settings and made sure the “Contacts” option was enabled for all accounts.
In an attempt to resolve the issue, I used the “Repair” option under “Properties” for each account, but unfortunately, all my contacts disappeared. I restarted eM Client and tried to sync again, but my contacts are still missing. I did check the Google Contacts app on my phone, and all my contacts are still visible there.
I’m unsure how to recover my contacts and make them visible again in the Contacts section. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
If you have an IMAP Configured Google / Gmail account and the repair option didn’t sync back your Google account contacts online, then either go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and re-add the account again via the automatic account wizard and make sure to “select Contacts” at the end of the wizard when you get asked to allow eM Client access to your Google account as per the following page.
Or if you have been making regular eM Client backups, then you could alternatively go to “Menu / File / Restore” and restore a recent backup when you know the contacts were there. Any new emails, contacts, tasks etc since the backup will then update when eM Client reconnects.
Or if you have configured your Google / Gmail account as a POP account and your missing contacts “or even for IMAP accounts if you want to manually import Google contacts”, go online to your https://contacts.google.com page and “select your contacts”. Then on the far right “click the 3 vertical dots” and you can export them to a file in the dropdown menu and then import them into eM Client via “Menu / File / Import”.
