Google Contacts Delete Error

I get this error every time I start emClient. How do I clear it?

[Google Contacts] Deleting items in folder ‘[email protected]/Other Contacts’ failed due to the following error: Parameter validation failed for “resourceName” : The value did not match the regular expression ^people/[^/]+$

See my post link in the following thread on that.

Thanks - this appears to have corrected the issue.

This does not seem to ahve corrected the identical problem for me. In fact, all that has happened is that my wntire contacts collction has disappeared fromemClient. I have even removed contacts sync and restarted contacts sync but (a) I now ahve no contacts in emClient an (b) the error messge still appears.

Nay otyher ideas?

Could some eM Client programmer at least research this, and preferably create a system update in order to show WHICH contact is actually causing this error ?

If repairing the Google Contacts now shows no contacts under your eM Client Gmail account (which is very strange), then “go online to your Google Contacts and see if they are there”, as the repair just re-syncs your online contacts to eM Client and clears out the old local contacts cache.

So “if your Google contacts are showing online ok” but no longer in eM Client, then i would next either go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and re-add your Gmail account using the automatic account wizard which should then automatically bring all your Google contacts back.

Alternatively if you have been making regular eM Client backups either automatically via the Settings or manually via the menu, then you could restore a recent dated backup when you know your contacts were there and any new emails etc will sync when eM Client connects again.

Yes removing and re-adding the account worked. I agree that it would good to have the problematic contact highlighted so that whateve the issue is, can be addresed by the user
