Gmail stars not indicated properly in all folders

The eM client fails to show Gmail “stars” properly across all folders (tags). They get synced, but remain as flags in e.g. Inbox folder in the eM. Any suggestions?

Hi, starred emails should appear as emails with exclamation mark with them, is that true for you?

Well, they appear with red flags rather than ex.marks. But once unmarked /unflagged in the “Starred” folder, they remain marked / flagged in other folders like Inbox. This applies solely for the eM client side, since they are properly synced in Gmail.
