Gmail labels downloaded with wrong colors

All Gmail labels are downloaded with wrong colors… now to make it another color I have to recreate all the labels manually and then they don’t belong to an account, they are general. I am using 5 accounts so for me this is important…

Hello Vladi,
unfortuntely there is no way to synchronize Google label color at this time.
If you recreate the label with the same name in the Local categories the label will pair up and copy the correct color though.

Olivia

I am creating the Category, but it doesn’t pair up with the color… when I am creating I need to choose the color, so the one I am choosing is the one that it takes, not the one from Gmail.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Another problem is that it’s adding the labels to ALL my accounts.

I am dealing with 5 accounts and 100+ labels in total.
So when I will need to categorize an email I will have a choice of 100 categories, instead of only the one’s from that account…

And another bug I just discovered that I deleted one of the categories that I just created that had the same name as one of the labels in Gmail and then it deleted that category from ALL the emails with that label (so emails now shown as uncategorized)… I re-added it, but it didn’t help. so now emails that have that label on Gmail don’t have that category in eM.

Your biggest advantage above Outlook is the integration of Gmail labels… if you don’t do that well, no real point in buying the software. I was about to buy the PRO version. We are using this in a business environment with emails and labels

Hello Vladi,
the creation of the local category with the same name is just a workaround.
Officially label colors are not supported, unfortunately. Color inside eM Client is added to the label randomly, because Google does not send this information through the API.
If you used the category in other mail accounts and then deleted it, it removed all the locally added tags.

Since Gmail introduced labels, all the labels were synchronised as folders with Gmail.
The added support for Gmail labels we incorporated in eM Client 7 is synchronizing the labels as virtual categories and by assigning the categories, the label will be attached to the message and sorted to appropriate folder.
Just as if you were working with your online Gmail interface.

Hope this makes the situation more clear.

Olivia
