Gmail imap not working

For some reason, eM Client has crashes several times today and will no longer synch with Gmail. I set the ports to those recommended by Google.

Me too. Had the problem today with Google. While EM Client is having problems, my Ipad Client, my iphone client and Thunderbird on my PC are working perfectly. I reduced the number of emails stored in my EM Client in all my folders, then EM Client started behaving properly. That’s not something I want to keep doing. I hope it can be fixed.

Now it’s back to screw up mode. I try to read a new incoming message and it says it can’t down load it because I’m not connected.

Me too. Problems a few times today - but all seems OK now (touch wood!). I guess it’s a Gmail connectivity problem rather than emClient … unless it’s something to do with the (often mentioned) default timeout values that are way too short.

Funny that my other clients aren’t having the same problem. I’m giving up for today. Keep up the message thread when you can.

I had to delete my Google account and reinstall it to get it to work again. Does anyone at EM Client monitor these conversations? I’d like to hear what the experts have to say about this problem.

I just found out that Google had some major outages that very day. Various big cities all around the country so that’s what I’m attributing my problem to. It’s been fine ever since.
