I have 6 different gmail accounts for various things. And emClient keeps requiring authorization. This is absolutely rediculous, I’ve used other email clients for years with these accounts and have never had an issue like this. I’v tried all the things suggested in these forums. I’ve removed the token in the gmail accounts and re added emClient, I’ve deleted all the accounts within emclient and re added them. I’ve trashed preferences. But this issue keeps on returning. At this rate I’m going to have to go back to Spark, although I didn’t want to pay a sub, at least it is capable of actually communicating with my mail accounts. I am sure it is something on emclient side, because when the authorization fails it fails across all 6 accounts at the same time and I have to spend 20 minutes again getting them all working. Is this app just useless or can someone give me a solution. I’m really frustrated at this point
As revoking and reallowing the OAuth token hasn’t helped, and removing and readding the account also hasn’t helped then might possibly be your eM Client version, or a problem with the installation, or possibly the browser not authorizing the token correctly, or possibly a mail database issue.
What version of eM Client do you have ?
Also have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client ?
Also have you tried a different chromium browser as default when authorising ?
Also have you tried a new mail database ?
Also do you have Windows or Mac and what OS version ?
I’m running eMClient 10.4.5326 on MacOS 14.7.4. When I look in Google it tells me that eMClient is authorized, and every time I have to reauth the window pops up saying emClient already has some privilidges, although it doesn’t specify, but I’ve been making sure all check boxes are ticked when giving it permissions. I’m using Brave, which is a Chrome based browser, but I can try with another one next time.
I will try completely removing and reinstalling eM Client as that is something I’ve not tried yet. I’ve also not tried a new mail database, but I assume that will happen when I re-install. I’ll use app-cleaner to ensure a complete removal before re installing.

Try installing and setting Google Chrome as the default browser “for a test” as that authorises fine for me on Mac on my computers.

Uninstalling and reinstalling eM client on Mac doesn’t normally create a new database. So if uninstalling and reinstalling still has the same problem even with Chrome browser as default, then “close eM Client” and then “go to the following hidden database folder” below and “rename it” to eg: eM Client-Old”.
(Hidden database folder Mac)
/Users/User Name/Library/Application Support/eM Client
Then reopen eM Client and the automatic account wizard should appear to setup as new and then see if that fixes it. If a new database then fixes the problem “and you need anything out of your Old Database”, then see the following blog on how to do a partial restore part way down.
