One of the key features in gmail is that you have a lot of space so you don’t need to delete your email. I am missing an archieve button or alternatively that the delete button archieves the mail (when you are in the inbox). As it works now if I delete an email it will be deleted from server after 30 days. Any way to achieve this ?

we actually accomodated this Archiving feature for gmail accounts.
In the main toolbar, right-click to customize and add ‘Move to Archive’ button.
This button will only work inside your gmail folders but it will do the same archiving as Gmail does - remove all the labels and leave the message in All Mail folder.
