Since updating eM Client a few days ago to version 11.0.1201.0 (Microsoft Store version), I get a security warning every time I open a PDF attachment in Foxit PDF Reader:
“Foxit PDF Reader has been opened by the following app without a valid signature. This may indicate a security issue.”
App: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\eMClient.20054CA46072C_11.0.1201.0_x64__veq4nz3ze5v72\MailClient.exe
Before this update, everything worked fine without any warning.
What I’ve tried:
- Ticking “Remember your choice for this application” → the warning comes back every time
- Adding MailClient.exe to Foxit’s Trusted Apps (Preferences → Trust Manager) → Foxit does not save the entry
- Restarting Foxit and running it as administrator → no change
It looks like MailClient.exe in this build is missing a valid digital signature, or the signature isn’t recognised. Could you check this and fix it in a next update?
