for over a month my em client is in constant downloading messages mode

For over a month my em client is in constant download mode…next to my email address is a constant whirling circle and down at the bottom of the screen on the left is a continuously moving rotating/flashing bar.  Anyone know how to fix this issue?

What version of eM Client? Which email provider?

mail comes from my servers at Hostgator.com

You can try upgrading to the latest version of eM Client available at the Release History. If that does not make any difference, then I suggest removing the email account from eM Client, then adding it again.
