Font Size on SEND mail too small

Unless I missed a setting, it seems like I am set up correctly. The default font should be HELVETICA, 12pt. and that is what is currently under settings.

That setting, I believe is under MAIL → READ

However, whenever I compose or reply to an email it defaults to HELVETICA, 8pt. which is too small

I can’t find where to permanently adjust the setting back to 12pt. so I don’t have to keep manually changing the size every time I compose or respond to an email.

The correct setting is under: Mail → Compose

Thank you, but that is also set for 12pt as well and whenever I compose or reply it defaults to 8pt
