I asked this several years ago, and at the time there was no satisfactory solution. I’m wondering if there is now.
I read and write mail in both U.S. English and Japanese. I would like there to be a separate font for the Japanese mail, both incoming and outgoing.
Is that possible? My universal font is Aptos, but when Japanese mail comes in it looks pretty awful.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

Hey@David_G_Imber
I just spoke with two of our colleagues who are both native Japanese
speakers, they both say that for dual language use that you need to
use a Sans Serif font and agree that the type of work/writing you
are doing has to be considered plus personal preference.
Neither of them use Aptos, now a default in Microsoft 365 and is a
replacement for Calibri. Try and choose is the order of the day
when searching for a font.
U.S. English is spelling specific.
A collection of CJK languages can be selected from in eMC but you
will still need to make a font choice.
Menu >Settings >General >Languages - not convenient but it is there.
Apparently we provide separate PC’s with Noto Sans CJK JP for them
to use in specific situations.
