I would like the option to also show an (e-mail) folder with all its sub-folders in favorites. Is that possible?

As far as i know only root / parent folders can be dragged into favorites.
You can add any folder to Favorites, but not a whole tree.
The purpose of Favorites is to have a few selected folders there, not whole trees.
