Folder name in italics, cannot move message into it

In my IMAP mail account, eM Client shows me one folder name in italics (while all the others are not in italics). I am not able to move or copy any message to that specific folder. That folder already contains further folders, however, and I can move messages into those sub-folders. Any idea why and how to make this folder fully functional again?

In my IMAP mail account, eM Client shows me one folder name in italics (while all the others are not in italics)

I would suggest to just eg: create another folder with the same name followed by a -1 at the end,

Then move all the emails and sub folders into that new folder. You can see when the mail has finished moving in “Show Operations” via the dropdown on the right of Refresh.

Then once you are confident all the emails have moved into the new folder “delete the original folder with the italics” and then “recreate it” & then move the mail & sub mail folders back.

Alternatively if the IMAP account folder online “doesn’t have the italics”, then could be that happened when the folder synced to eM Client. In which case you can try running the repair on that account or remove and re-add the account.

To run the repair “right click on your IMAP account Inbox” (or All Mail if it’s an Gmail account) and click “Properties” at the bottom. Then click the “Repair” tab along the top & click Repair. That clears the local account cache to resync your online mailbox folders locally to the client again. Once the cache is cleared, your messages will be slower to read till fully cached again.

If that still doesn’t fix it, then I would remove and re-add that IMAP account via “Menu / Accounts”.
