Hi, In Postbox I could manually flag a message and then click a flag icon which would then place all flagged messages at the top of all other emails - as per image. How can I do that with eM Client? Thank you.
I am not that technically minded, also over 80 years old so understand if I am a bit slow
You can do the same in eM Client, just sort the message list by flag.
To do that right-click in the header row and choose Sort > Flag.
Thank you so much. That has been bugging me no end. Great of you to show image of how to do it. So appreciate it. Thank you
Hi Gary. Sorting by flag is not the same thing as pinning to the top. Pinning keeps those messages at the top regardless of the sorting, so you can keep important messages visible while still having new messages appear next. Your suggestion will bring flagged messages to the top, but only while sorted that way, and also undermines users ability to see new mail as it arrives.
Robio, what would you suggest please? Thank you.
Pin feature is not implemented. We are considering it for the future versions. You can upvote it on our Sleekplan (emclient.sleekplan.app).
Oh that is unfortunate. I use that feature a lot in Postbox.
Pretty much exactly wht Postbox does (screenshot below), except that Postbox calls them “reminders.” Key use cases: I pin emails that require action from me, and I pin emails I’m monitoring for an important response. I want those emails IN MY WAY until they get handled. If they can’t be IN MY WAY, I will loose track of them.
If you would like pinned messages to top, this is the Sleekplan links to vote for that,
(Pin messages to top of inbox Desktop)
(Pin messages to top of inbox mobile devices)
Thank you, yes I have voted for it now, so I voted for it under the Mail heading as I don’t use mobile. Thanks for the link. Sadly until that feature is added I will be continuing to use Postbox while it still works.
Thank you but how do you pin them. In postbox I just add a reminder flag then click the flag at the top to pin it. Can’t seem to do that with eM
