The Inbox shows a ‘1’ indicating an unread message. Manually/visually scanning the emails in the Inbox does NOT reveal which is unread. Is there another method of identifying it ?
To see all the Unread messages, go to “Menu / Settings / General” and tick the “Show Favorites”. Then Save and Close. You will then see the Unread label top left under Favorites.
See documentation on Favourites.
Thank you.
A shortcoming of that is that it lists numerous unreads, not just the one in the Inbox - which is the only one that interests me. Can we improve on this ?
As well, after sorting folders and laboriously looking for inbox (in UNREADS), it does not show Inbox, yet Inbox still has a (1) showing after it.
Its designed to show you all the Unread in “any folder” from “all your accounts” as a (Global Unread folder).
I take it that it can’t be improved upon - and that I wont be able to identify the email in question.

eM Client may in the future allow you to specific different unread folder account options (like Inbox only) etc, but that’s how it is for now. Time will tell if that happens. I guess all depends on how many other users want that too.
If your account Inbox is still showing (1) on the right of it and nothing in the Favorites / Global folders Unread folder, and you (cannot find any unread) in your account inbox, then i would advise to go online in your webmail and see if you can find it there. If you then can find it there, change the status to read and then close and reopen eM Client which should then clear that (1) next to your inbox.
Now if you still cannot find it online in your account webmail inbox, then suggest to maybe contact your mailbox technical support for assistance.
