Feedback opening existing fully cached emails after I updated to the latest eM Client Droid app V10.2.1465 with Droid OS14 using a Samsung 22 Ultra which is a really fast phone.
(Delay when the app has already been open)
When the app has already been opened for a while and I press to open a fully cached email eg: in the Inbox, it now takes on average 1-2 secs "till they actually open on Wifi or Data, but when its open, it’s “way faster to display the email”.
I’ve completely cleared the local eM Client cache in the OS, but makes no difference. It’s not a problem but just that the previous version “didn’t have this 1-2 sec delay” with emails fully cached. Seems like it needs a bit more eg: app optimisation.
Note: This delay “does not happen on the iPhone” with the same eM Client version and 18.3.1 iOS.
(Delay when the app is initially first opened)
Also I find “when I first open the Droid app” and try to open any full cached emails in the Inbox, it can take on average 5-10 secs to open. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app makes no difference.
Once they are opened initially, the app will then take 1 - 2 seconds on average to reopen again.
So there is also this “very big delay” initially opening the emails “when the app is first opened” compared to when it’s already open, that also wasn’t happening with the previous Droid version.
Note: This initial opening 5-10 sec average delay when opening emails “also does not happen on the iPhone” with the same eM Client version and 18.3.1 iOS . So is only a Droid app problem.
The delay problem when opening emails “now appears to be fixed” with the latest eM Client Droid Playstore update V10.2.1710 and OS 14 / One UI 6.1 on my Samsung mobile.
I uninstalled the old Droid version V10.2.1465 and installed the updated version.
After updating “i again cleared the cache and data” in the eM Client app via OS Settings and then reimported using the QR Code export from the desktop V10.2.1712.
Now the emails open nearly instantly (& smooth) after the app starts up & when its open too. The app also seems alot more stable. So reccomend updating to the latest Droid app.

Unfortunately I have found this "initial approx 5 sec delay opening received or sent emails (when you first open eM Client) even with the latest Beta Droid version V10.2.1710 using my Samsung S22 Ultra with UI 6.1 & OS14 “has started happening again”. Rebooting the mobile hasn’t helped.
None of my other mobile Droid email apps including “Gmail app, Outlook app or Yahoo app” etc, configured with the same IMAP accounts have this initial opening email delay problem.
@Marco_Piantino Are you also getting an initial aprox 5 sec delay opening received or sent emails (when you first open the app) on your Samsung mobile ?
Yes I do get a delay, and it can be worse than 5 seconds.
The header/top part of the email opens up but then it hangs and I have to close the email and then re-open it, after which it loads quite quickly.
There is often a pause/hang opening subsequent emails, but it’s only a few seconds and bearable, but intermittently I do have to close and re-open as explained above.
It’s the loss of the folder search that is really killing me as there is no work around…

Ok I have sent that off to mobile support.

Yes the folder search not working is frustrating.
Hopefully soon an update to fix these issues.
