Dear eM Client Team,
I have been a loyal user of eM Client primarily because of its superior Conversation View, which is unmatched by any other email client. However, there is one major UX flaw that makes daily workflow dangerous for business users: The Attachment List View.
Currently, the attachment pane is limited to a fixed height (showing only ~3 lines with a scrollbar).
The Problem:
- Poor Visibility: On high-resolution displays (I use a 4K screen on a Dell Precision), forcing a tiny scrollable list for attachments wastes screen space and hides vital information.
- Business Risk: Unlike Outlook, which adapts the view or uses a grid to show all files at once, eM Client hides files below the fold. This has caused me to miss important attachments in professional correspondence because the scrollbar is easy to overlook.
- The Sidebar is not a solution: The right sidebar shows all attachments from a contact history, which is confusing when I only need to see the files for the current email.
The Request: Please implement one of the following:
- Grid View: An option to display attachments as icons next to each other (wrapping lines) instead of a vertical list.
- “Expand All” Toggle: A button to expand the attachment header to show ALL files simultaneously without scrolling.
- Auto-Height: Allow the attachment pane to grow dynamically based on the number of files.
eM Client is perfect for communication, but this specific UI limitation forces users to double-check emails in other clients just to be safe. Please consider this for the next update.
Best regards,
Kontuz
