Feature Request: add to rule action capability

I receive a lot of emails from specific email address that have photos and documents attached. Pictures from family and friends are getting lost on the mass of emails I receive daily (in the hundreds). It is a pain to remember which ones to scan, and if I have saved those attachments yet or not.

I would love a rule action “Save all Attachments” that would also let me select the directory where they would be saved.

As this rule could be for a single email address, it could also be multiple depending on how one writes that section of the “From” part. All that is being asked here is a new Action capability.

You can see all the image attachments in the Attachments section (if you have Pro/Personal/Business license).

Thanks. That worked for all attachments (by attachment name :slight_smile: ), so it met my first need.

All that is necessary is for a rule to automatically save them.

I found the place to make feature suggestions, so let me add that there.

@joayn

All that is necessary is for a rule to automatically save them.

I found the place to make feature suggestions, so let me add that there.

You can already go to “Menu / Rules” and create a rule to move any senders email with attachments to a specific folder to save them in.

Thanks, but you may have missed the boat (my request might have been poorly written) :slight_smile:

What I am trying to accomplish is to automatically (by rule action) save just the attachments as individual files (maybe, now that I am writing this, filter on the file type of the attachment) in a specific location (like .jpg into photos).

This way, as email comes in, they are automatically (by rule) added to (in this case) photos, and the next time you bring up the photos app, they are already in the gallery.

Thanks or helping me on this !!!
