I am still using Mailbird as backup. Mailbird shows birthdays from Google accounts and ios and aol. I don’t think this is a “Google problem”. If Mailbird can do this, why can’t em Client?
The English Google birthday calendar disappeared in early Dec 2024 apart from some other languages such as Czech etc, as was missing from the data provided by Google as @Olivia_Rust advised in the support link below.
As far as I know “it has never been fixed by Google” as I personally still haven’t seen the birthday calendar since then even using the latest eM Client V10 desktop and mobile.
What I’ve done since instead is to create birthday recurring events with reminders & tag colours.
“ Gmail accounts - Birthday calendar no longer synchronized”
MailBird and Readdle and Spark and Outlook are all able to show gmail events in their combined calendars. This isn’t a Google issue. It’s an EM client issue.
To give everyone an update, @chrshale created a ticket on the topic, and thanks to the logs they sent us, our developers were able to pinpoint what needs changing in order to reintroduce the Google Birthday calendar to eM Client later down the line. We updated the knowledgebase article as well: Gmail accounts - Birthday calendar no longer synchronized - Powered by Kayako Help Desk Software
Thanks for the update. Let us know how this progresses.
It’s common for synchronization issues to stem from a specific application’s handling of non-standard calendar subscriptions provided by a large service like Google.
