A couple of weeks ago I stopped getting any email because eM Client could not connect…gave error saying server was unavailable or settings incorrect. It was working fine previous to that time. I have not changed the settings, and even went back in and re-entered them to be sure. I have disabled my firewall and other security settings…no difference. I un-installed and then re-installed eM Client (tried to use older version but could not since the latest release had changed my data base). Any suggestions?
I have somewhat the same problem. After upgrading to version 8, I was not able to connect to either my Spectrum email or my GMail account. I restored my C drive to an earlier date prior to upgrading (I restored via a backup of Acronis) and both connected fine again (no changes to any of the server settings on either email account). Tonight, after having issues with it saying that I did not have a current license (I am using the free version) it upgraded to version 8 again and now I am not able to use eM Client at all!! So frustrating! Time to look for a new email client.
There was an issue with the license server which has now been resolved.
For connection issues, try completely disabling any anti-virus/firewall or VPN application and see if there is any difference.
Something else you can try is to remove the Gmail account from eM Client, then add it again.
Hi Gary,
Thanks for your reply. I’ve tried both but still can’t connect to either my Spectrum email or my Gmail accounts. Everything worked fine while I was on version 7. As far as I know, nothing else was changed except for the version of eMClient.
Are there any kind of logs that would point to a possible issue?
