Just started to try out eM Client, coming over from Thunderbird. Very impressive so far. I searched the forum, and the only thing that eM Client doesn’t seem to support is the concept of “External Editor” (I’m an Emacs user).

I am sorry but this is not implemented in eM Client and we do not even plan to support this feature.
