I am getting a lot of fails during synchronisation, across all my accounts, IMAP and POP3. Is there a way I can make em Client give the server longer or increase the retries? My internet connection is not clean.
eM Client allows 30 seconds before time out, which should be enough time. However in case of heavy packet loss, there isn’t much we can do. I recommend you seek a better internet service provider.

This is a bit rude a response. Can you explain why, if it’s an ISP problem, I get it with emclient, but not with Eudora Pro?
And my connection issues are legacy telephone lines. I wanted to try and isolate the problem, which is why I’m interested in giving emclient longer to connect.
I’ve also started getting a lot of errors from the routine backup claiming that emclient is in use.
