Hi I have over 50 QuickTexts that I want to export and import on another computer.
I created a settings.xml file and import on the 2nd computer. About half of the imported QuickTexts are blank.
Why are they missing?
After importing on the second computer, try restarting eM Client and see if there is any difference.
Another option is to close eM Client on the original PC and run C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client\ DbRepair.exe. Then open eM Client and try the export again.
The manual way to copy the Quick Texts is to close eM Client and copy C:\Users_username_\AppData\Roaming\eM Client\snippets.dat from the one computer to the other.

I copied snippets.dat 2.33MB
Pasted into the other computer.
It worked.
The exported file size was similar but the snippets file on the target computer was tiny. So I think the import was failing.
If I want to copy signatures from computer A to Computer B which file would I copy?
Surprisingly, it is the same file, so they should be there already. 
i meant file size after importing, not after copying the file…
I guess I typed the above in incorrect sequence…
I now notice that the signatures were also copied. So they are part of the snippets file?
Yes, as I said snippets.dat is the same file. It contains both Quick Texts and Signatures.
