Export calendar as ics file not possible

Export of calendar as ics file not possible (export window opens but nothing happens)

In the first place enable the option “Show Local folders” in Tools - Settings - General and let me know if it helps. Thank you.

That option is alreay enabled. Exporting of a calendar is still not possible. The progress bar is shown but not moving forward.

When it happens again, please run the tool available from http://www.emclient.com/tools/emstack… . It should generate a log file (starting with “eM Client Stack” in your Documents folder) that will help us analyze the problem in more detail. Please send this file to us. Thanks.

Ok, now I know the problem: exporting of a calendar as an .ics file works only if you choose the calendar to be exported directly. It does NOTwork if you click first on the parent folder (this selects all calendars in this folder) and if you deselect all unwanted calendars afterwards.

But: it’s not possible to import this calendar file again into a calendar in emClient. There is an error message with “repeating events must have a beginning” (rough German translation of the error message). I’ll send you the .ics file per e-mail.

We will fix it ASAP.

So did you fix - still seems broken to me.

I thought export was not working at all - it was only by luck that I saw the workaround by OP (thanks Stefan!!)

Actually I can’t get the workaround to work myself.

It’s unchanged. Presumably you can easily test this yourself rather than needing me to do it:-)

This seems like a pretty serious bug, I hope it will be fixed in next version.


Doesn’t work for me either. It always finishes with 0/0 exported. :frowning:
