So many applications are able to automatically do an unattended backup, except that eM Client gives an error when trying to backup that “eM Client is running. In order for backup to proceed, please exit eM Client” … Could this not be better programmed?

eM Client uses sqlite database which can’t be copied while in use because it can cause errors and data damage.
Also we can’t close eM Client without warning users, that is why users are asked to close eM Client.
