error message, no google calendar sync, Facebook integration

I allways get this Messages, sometimes for gmy, sometimes for gmail, sometimes for both (see picture)

I have activated google calendar, but i doesn’t schow any appointments. The Diadnostics say’s: all O.K. - Mailbird is doing it without any Problems, same settings.

How can I integrate Facebook, like Mailbird does it?

Hi Hans, are you having some issues with your calendar, the above error message can be caused by a temporary connection issue between your client and the server, however even if the connection is dropped eM Client should reconnect automatically within few moments.
From the screenshot of the Log, I can’t see any other issue that might be connected to this, but if you’re having any issues with your services, can you please copy the whole content of the Log once the error occurs (ctrl+a, ctrl+c).

Also what version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer?
What do you mean by Mailbird-like facebook implementation. You can add a facebook account to IM in eM Client, however any other features are not currently supported for facebook accounts.

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Hi Paul, i have the latest version (free 6.0.21034.0). Now i disabled “show status window at errors”, i hope it helps, because it sucks.
Mailbird is also an nice email client (see Picture - you can see the facebook implemantation). I would like to use it but there are missing other things in the Programm.

The Problem with showing the google calendar is solved.

Basically I have problems implementing your tips because they are incomprehensible and unfortunately not in German.

Thanks

forgot the picture

Hi, we’re currently not considering adding such feature, however you might achieve a similar look by using “Widgets” in eM Client.
Open your widget tab in the left sidebar (if it’s not shown, right click any of the tabs and select Widgets).

When you open the Widget view, add a new Web Widget for http://facebook.com/ , you should be able to login through the widget and see all your facebook content.

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Thank you, it works - cool! What else can I do with the widget?

You can get more Web widgets, pointing to other websites - possibly other social media profiles - or you can add an RSS feed widget, to have quick access to News, etc.

Glad I could help, let us know if you come across any other issues or questions about the application, we’ll be happy to help.

Thank you,
Paul.

one more question please: i am not so happy with the design of eM, is it possible to get some different themes?

Hi again, there’s a number of available themes right inside the settings of eM Client, just go to Tools > Settings > Appearance > Themes.
Or if you don’t like any of the default themes, you can try some of the user created ones:  https://forum.emclient.com/emclient/topics/custom_em_client_themes

Hope this helps,
Paul.

Thanks again - Perfect - i found a nice Theme

Why doesn’t eM open an web-link who is included in the email text. Is this a Programm setting or in Windows (win 7 pro 64bit)?

Hi Hans, glad you’ve found a nice theme.
if you’re having issues while opening links, please open your Internet Explorer and check if you have the latest available version installed on your computer. If you do, please go to Internet Options > Security > Custom Level, and check if you have the option “Allow programmatic clipboard access” set to “Enable”.

Hope this helps,
Paul.
