I am continually getting the message that an attempt to connect to my email id has failed, i am using em from a month or so every thing was running good, though i used to get this message here and there and i think now that i missed some emails coz i ignored it, but now i cant send a single email and cant receive any. seriously fed up coz have to go back to gmail to send my emails, please solve my issue ASAP. i have attached snapshot of message also, have tried every thing have checked every thing and as i didn’t changed any thing i don’t know what is the
reason of it…

could you copy the content of the Log window next time the error pops up (same window, third tab)?
It will contain more details, as the error itself is a generic one that can cover number of issues.

please try to add eM Client to the exceptions in your Windows firewall and Antivirus software, seems like a third party application is blocking your connection.

I have done whatever i could and i think nothing is working here, if you are not able to figure out the issue then who else would… i am not sure if the log is same or not, let me take screen shot and share… my last try this is… if not… unfortunately would have to uninstall
What i did in morning was, i changed IMAP settings from 143 to 465 and SMTP settings from 587 to 993, run diagnostics test… for a moment green tick appeared and one test mail was received on my Gmail account also… but on sending receving again no email is received which are stuck from last week and no email is going also… DISAPPOINTED BIG TIME
I am on thunderbird now
