Error 788 is preventing new mail

I am suddenly getting Err Message 788 expunged and no new email.

The mail is there, and I can read it via other clients.
I ran the Pop3 and SMTP diagnostics and they passed.
I have rebooted, installed the latest revision 9.2.1628.
No luck.

OK. It’s working today. Looks like Comcast had a mail fart yesterday.
