Empty mails on EM Client V10.3.2040.0

Hi,

We have several empty mails (only) in the SEND items folder. When checking the source code they simply don’t have any text.

What we did:

  • did a repair on the SEND items folder
  • did a database repair
  • disabled the “text only” option in the settings how to read and sent mails (now completely html)
  • checked for the latest version

Here is the source code of 1 example:

Any help would be HIGHLY appreciated.

Kind regards,

Boudi

We have several empty mails (only) in the SEND items folder. When checking the source code they simply don’t have any text.

All I can suggest then is that “if you have been making regularly eM Client backups” to try restoring a recent backup “when you know the sent messages were there” via “Menu / File / Restore”, and then once restored then try creating new emails and send again and see if it then sends and shows sent messages ok.

If you haven’t been making regular eM Client backups or restoring a backup doesn’t fix the problem, then if you have an IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud account then go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove and readd your account and see if new sent messages show ok.

If then a new account account still doesn’t show sent messages correctly, then could be your SMTP server online currently has issues and is eg: possibly corrupting the sent messages in some way in which case suggest to contact your SMTP server technical support to check their end is sending ok and let them know what’s happening when you send with the html code.

Finally we found the solution.

The cause was an import from a .pst file that was exported from an office365 account.
The SENT ITEMS directory wasn’t setup right after the import. We had to edit that manually, and now it’s working again.

So: watch out for importing a .pst file directly from office365.

Unfortenately, it’s still not working.
