PROBLEM from OCT2024 has RETURNED - When I attempt to send a message, it immediately ends up in LOCAL OUTBOX. No ERROR message. I updated to latest version 10.1.4588 no help. When I close program, it prompts me to SEND MESSAGES AND CLOSE. Clicking on it results in SEND FAILED “Send operation failed with errors. Do you want to close the application anyway?” I am running eM Client on mine and wife’s PCs with OUTLOOK accounts, mine works, hers fails. I can send emails from her outlook on the web. I removed and installed eMclient - no help. ANY IDEAS ???
When you go to your wife’s Outlook account setup via “Menu / Accounts” does she have “AirSync” enabled / checked in her “General Tab” under Services ?. If she doesn’t enable that and “save accounts” and then click “Refresh”.
If she does already have AirSync enabled in her Outlook account, then could be she may have some different local program installed on her computer running resident possibly interfering with the outgoing mail.
Eg: Sometimes optionally installed firewall security programs or optionally installed antivirus programs or VPNs other than what comes default with the OS can sometimes interfere. So if you had anything like that installed, try completely disabling those to test.
Apart from that suggest to move the email stuck in the outbox back to her Drafts email folder and then close and reopen eM Client and then try just send a basic “text only test email” to see if that will even work.
If that still won’t even send basic text emails, click the dropdown arrow on the right of Refresh top left and click Show Operations. Then click the Log tab and look for any obvious error messages and paste them in this thread. We might then be able to see why it won’t send.
Note: Blank out anything personal in the log.
Thanks for your ideas. AirSync is enabled. Only running Edge and Windows 10 security and no VPN. Fails on simple text messages. No error messages in OPERATIONS LOG. So I Installed eM Client on 3rd PC with her account with same setup and it works fine, and now hers is working again.
As its now working on a 3rd PC, then “try creating a new admin profile on the computer that is not sending” and see if that then sends, as could be a problem with the user profile.
Also on the 3rd Pc that is working, create a manual backup via “Menu / Backup” which will create a dated backup.zip file by default in the user profile “Documents / eM Client” folder. You can then easily restore if anything goes wrong in future via “Menu / File / Restore”.
You could also then “copy that backup.zip file to the original PC that won’t send” and then install eM Client on a new profile and “skip the setup wizard” and then restore the backup from the same “Documents / eM Client” folder. Then see if that sends ok.
Note:- If you only have the single license and it doesn’t automatically activate on the original PC (usually it does), then deactivate eM Client on the 3rd PC via the “Menu / Help / License” menu and then reactivate the license again on the original PC via the same License menu.
