After today’s update of EMClient on Windows 11 Pro, the application has completely stopped working. It doesn’t open at all in normal mode. When I boot into Windows Safe Mode and try to launch it, I get the error message:
“Breakpoint has been reached”, and the program still won’t start.
Does anyone know how to fix this issue?
Also, is there a way to recover or access my email data (emails, contacts, etc.) if the program won’t start?
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I know there was an eg: EWS account issue with v10.3.2597 reported "if you had updated to the very latest version V10 , so if you had that type of account setup in eM Client the fix was to temporarily install the previous v10.3.2545
So if you did install / update to v10.3.2597, then uninstall that version and if you have Windows “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard. Then reinstall v10.3.2545 from the release history page and reboot again and then see if eM Client opens.
Now if you didn’t have V10 and didn’t upgrade to v10.3.2597 , then could just be a eg: “possible OS glitch” causing the mail client not to open or could be something has happened to the eM Client installation, in which case “try also just uninstalling and reinstalling” whichever version you have either via the release history page or Windows Store (depending on where you originally installed it from) and then reboot and see if it will open.
Now if it still won’t open, then “if you have been making regular eM Client backups” either automatically via the Settings or manually via the Menu, then you could also go to the below following eM Client hidden database folder and rename it to eg: eM Client-Old. Then uninstall eM Client and reinstall whatever eM Client version you had prior to the update. Then open eM Client and “Skip the setup wizard” and then restore your recent backup via “Menu / File / Restore”.
